ACE Program

The Pikeville College Student Support Services (ACE, Academic Cultural Education) is one of the federally funded TRIO programs designed to provide comprehensive academic support. Our goal is to improve academic performance and increase student retention and graduate rates. Pikeville College Student Support Services is called the ACE/SSS Program. Students interested in becoming a member of the ACE Program must meet the eligibility requirements as set forth by the U.S. Department of Education for TRIO programs.

If you are interested in any of our services, please stop by our office, meet with an ACE program staff member and complete an application and intake interview. Our office is located on the ground floor of the Armington Learning Center and observes office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The following are services provided by the ACE Program to selected students who qualify:

  • Peer Mentoring - Mentors provide support to freshmen and sophomores
  • Peer Tutoring - Tutors with flexible tutoring hours
  • Academic Planning
  • Career/Major Exploration
  • Personal Counseling
  • Supplemental Grant Aid
  • Disability Accommodations
  • Financial Aid Assistance and Referral
  • Cultural Enrichment
  • Workshops/Seminars
  • Graduate School Assistance
  • One-Week Non-Credit Summer Orientation Program
  • Laptop/USB Key/Calculator Lending Program
