Visual Identity

Publications

The quality of any organization is reflected by the quality of its publications. Each year, the College produces dozens of brochures, newsletters, manuals, guides and other printed materials. Each is an “ambassador” of the College. It is important that everyone appears to be part of the same family by sharing certain graphic elements in common.

For help in the production of publications and other graphic items that represent the College, contact the Office of Public Affairs. Please understand that the office staff is always willing to assist with the concept, planning and design of your projects. Editorial and design services are available without charge to all divisions/schools of the College.

Stationery

Stationery is the primary means of establishing Pikeville College’s image at the personal level. Letterhead, envelopes, business cards and related items should reflect the same standards of consistency for all College units, on campus as well as off campus, and should be printed in a quality manner. The Office of Public Affairs designs all stationery items to ensure these stringent standards. Stationery items such as letterhead and envelopes may be purchased from the Pikeville College bookstore.

Typography

Pikeville College’s wordmark is set in a customized version of “Times New Roman.” This typeface was chosen because the letters reflect a sound, traditional quality and a subtle grace. “Times New Roman” is the official typeface to be used on College stationery, most publications, signage and other applications.
