Cochrane Abstract Database

The goal of each Cochrane Review is to provide a systematic, critical review of all the evidence available on a particular controversial clinical issue. The abstracts included in the database address a wide range of clinical issues.

Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines

Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines from the National Guideline Clearinghouse. A searchable database. Some of the resources obtainable through this site are several hundred pages long.

Pediatric Critical Care

PedsCCM and intensivecare.com provide this extensive set of links related to evidence-based medicine. Included are sites explaining evidence-based medicine and sites giving advice on reading papers and analyzing research results.

Acronyms for Health Information Resources

This acronym list is not meant to assist those trying to read the writings of physicians utilizing the many acronyms/abbreviations in routine medical use (e.g. WDWN, CTL, CD4, CD8, GSW, HRRR).
