Pikeville College band looking for new members

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The Pikeville College pep and concert bands have opportunities available for volunteer community members. Middle and high school, college students and band alumni are invited to participate. All instrumentalists are welcome and a variety of college instruments are available for use.

The pep band can be heard rallying the Bears on to victory during home football and basketball games. Pep band rehearsals are on Mondays, from 5:30-7:15 p.m. Concert band rehearsals are on Thursdays, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. A winter performance is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3. Band ensembles meet in Record Memorial Building, room 407.

“With only one rehearsal per week, what are you waiting for? Grab your ax, kick back and jam,” said Nathan Varney band director.
