Welcome to Pikeville College - Pikeville, Kentucky

Pikeville College is a private, four-year liberal arts and sciences college, affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Founded in 1889, the College provides an education primarily for Appalachian students from eastern Kentucky and bordering states. Dedicated to training indigenous leaders for the region, Pikeville College prides itself on its low student/faculty ratio, its individualized attention and its caring community environment. The recently established Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine further demonstrates the College’s commitment to the region through the training of family physicians for Appalachia. Nestled in the heart of Appalachia, Pikeville and Pike County, Kentucky, are experiencing civic, educational and economic growth. The College stands poised as a key player in shaping the future of the area.
