Life Insurance
Basic Benefits - $20,000
Accidental Death/Dismemberment Benefit - $40,000 (Double Indemnity)
College pays the basic premium.
Disability Insurance
Long-term benefits provide approximately 60% of salary after six months continuous disability. College pays the basic premium.
Short-term benefits provide approximately 60% of salary after 30 days continuous disability. After one year of service, all full-time faculty are eligible and the College pays the basic premium.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program is designed to provide you with resources that can help with life’s daily challenges, major events and even planning for the future. This program is at no cost to you.
Medical Insurance
Single and Family Plans are available. The College contributes approximately 60% of the total premium on each plan.
Retirement Benefits
Upon completion of one year of service and an application, the College will contribute 3% of the individual's basic salary into a retirement account. Contributions may be increased to a maximum of 7% if the individual chooses to contribute.
Social Security Benefits
You and Pikeville College pay taxes for Social Security and Medicare. Your tax comes out of your pay. In 2008, you and Pikeville College each pay 7.65%. Pikeville College pays half the cost - you get all the benefits.
