Ron Damron has been Dean of Students at Pikeville College since 1990 and is the school’s director of athletics. Damron had been acting AD since 1993. Prior to that, Damron was vice president of The Citizens Bank of Pikeville and a teacher in the Pike County School System.

Ron also serves as the coach of the women’s bowling team, a program that has garnered national attention after they won the 2004 IBC national championship in April in Tulsa, Okla. For his efforts, Ron was named women’s bowling coach of the year by the bowling writers’ association. The team followed the national championship with a national semifinal appearance in 2005.

After spending two years as a student at Pikeville College, Damron received a B.A. degree in Social Studies from Eastern Kentucky University, and received a master’s degree in counseling from Morehead State in 1977. Ron and his wife, Shella, have one daughter, LaDeanna.

Greg Coulles is in his third year as assistant head coach of women’s bowling at Pikeville College. He is the Ohio Admissions Officer for the College and resides in Ohio.

A graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Greg attended graduate school as a graduate assistant in Telecommunications at the same university.

Greg is a certified USBC coach and serves as the Executive Director of the Ohio High School Bowling Coaches Association. He is also the head varsity coach of the Centerville (Ohio) high school girls’ bowling team. He has elevated his team to the Ohio State Championships for six of the past seven years, winning the state team championship in 2002 and 2008. The success of his team resulted in Coach of the Year honors in 2006-2007 and again in 2007-2008.

Greg and his wife, Linda, have a son, Christopher, and a daughter, Lindsey, who is a two-time past member of Junior Team USA and a four-time collegiate All-American.
