Robert Staggs is in his 16th year as a coach at Pikeville College and his third season as head volleyball coach. In addition, he is head softball coach.

Staggs is a graduate of Pikeville High School and Pikeville College, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an Associate Degree in Mine Management.

A high school football, baseball and softball official, Staggs officiated the state football finals in 1991, 1997 and 2000. He was also a finalist for the Kentucky State High School Athletics Association football official of the year in 1997.

He and his wife Nanette reside at Cedar Creek.
