No. 21 Campbellsville holds off No. 6 Pikeville in MSC opener - January 14, 2010

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – No. 21 Campbellsville University opened league play by holding down the home-court advantage and bouncing No. 6 Pikeville College 63-57 Thursday night.

Campbellsville improved to 13-4 on the season with the win, and was the only Mid-South Conference men’s team to win at home on opening night. Click here to read more

Landon Lands: Slone signs with Pikeville College - January 7, 2010

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Former University of Kentucky Wildcat Landon Slone has transferred to Pikeville College.

Slone, a Paintsville High School graduate who played his freshman season as a walk-on for Billy Gillispie last year, will be a student at Pikeville this semester and will have three years of athletics ability remaining. Click here to read more

Bears win fifth straight, knocking off Temple Baptist - January 5, 2010

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Seven players reached double figures and the home team absolutely dominated the glass as No. 8 Pikeville College rolled past Temple Baptist College 126-77 Tuesday night at the East Kentucky Expo Center.

No. 8 Bears survive U.Va.-Wise - January 2, 2010

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Eighth-ranked Pikeville College blistered the nets in the second half and held on for an 85-82 win over the scrappy Highland Cavaliers of U.Va.-Wise Saturday at the East Kentucky Expo Center.

After struggling to the half trailing 31-29, the Bears got hotter in the second half, having particular success from the line. The Bears shot only 31.8 percent in the first half, but hit 75 percent (15-of-20) from the floor and made four of their five tries from the arc. Click here to read more
