“Enlarge the place where your tent stands” Isaiah 54:2
When I think of Robert Taylor this Bible verse comes to mind. Robert gave his best effort when he was a Division I college baseball coach, most anyone can do this with talent, facilities and money. The thing that sets Robert apart from most other coaches is when he took a position at a small Christian school, he was the best teacher in the school and he coached a “bunch” of boys that had very little experience, with the same dedication and effort that he did on the Division I level (result two state championships).
Robert Taylor is more than a baseball coach, he is a dedicated Christian and family man. Robert's priorities are God, Family, and baseball, along the way every decision was made through prayer. Robert is a "man of God" that understands if you put ‘it’ in the hands of the Lord, everything will work out for the best.
Robert will be a ‘Christian Coach’ in every sense of the word and I feel confident that he will lead the Pikeville College baseball to the National Tournament.
Ron Reed, Area Representative, Northeast Kentucky Fellowship of Christian Athletes
“Coach Taylor is not only a good ‘baseball man,’ he is a good man. He is a coach who truly cares about the players. He doesn’t just coach baseball, he coaches baseball players. His knowledge, passion and character are evident in his coaching.”
Keith Madison, Former Head Baseball Coach, University of Kentucky
“I've known and coached against Robert for several years. He is one of the good guys in the business. He is a high-character man who will do a great job at Pikeville.”
Rob McDonald, Head Baseball Coach, Murray State University
“Robert Taylor is one of the truly good people in the game of baseball, he is deeply knowledgeable about all phases of the game, he is a persistent recruiter, a motivator, he is the type of person that I would want my son to play for. It was my privilege to work with Robert in the past and it will be my pleasure to watch him build a consistently competitive team that does things the right way.”
Marc Wagner, Assistant Baseball Coach, University of Evansville
“Robert is a baseball guy, through and through. His passion for the game was evident during his time at Morehead State and is easily demonstrable by looking at the student-athletes he recruited and coached. Pikeville has turned their program over to a guy that will absolutely win and do it in a first-class manner.”
Brian Hutchinson, Director of Athletics, Morehead State University
“Coach Taylor cares about his players’ well being on and off the field. He is a coach that will teach his team more than just baseball.”
John Jarnagin, Head Baseball Coach, University of Montevallo
